What We Provide - Learn about the data available in American FactFinder

Reference Maps show selected geographic boundaries for an area along with orienting features, such as roads. Boundary selections are available for geographic areas for which statistical data have been tabulated.

Quick access to state reference maps is available from the Main Page.

You can also view reference maps from the Search Page by clicking the Geographies button on the Left Navigation Bar, then selecting the Map Tab.

Use the map tools displayed above the map to:

  • pan and zoom the map
  • print the map
  • identify geographies displayed on the map

You can customize the map with the options to the left of the map:

  • Select geographies on the map using a point, rectangle, polygon, or a radius
  • Change the boundaries and features displayed on the map
  • Reposition the map by selecting a geography name or entering an address
  • Add map markers and user-defined text to the map
